Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.                  - 1 Peter 4:16

The CROSS

The greatest event in human and angelic history was the crucifixion of theLord Jesus Christ. While Jesus hung on the cross, God the Father punished Him for the sins of the entire world. Jesus paid in full the penalty for your sins, my sins, the sins of everyone who has ever lived or ever will live, making eternal life in Heaven available to everyone. We are all sinners and cannot do any work good enough to earn an eternal dwelling place in God's heavenly home. Thankfully, Jesus did everything for us through His death. Because He was raised from the dead three days after His death, we know God the Father was satisfied with His salvation work on our behalf. When we believe in Jesus as our Savior, our Deliverer from our sins and death, we will be saved!

Jesus’ death removed the barrier between sinful man (all of us) and perfect God. If we believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for us (as our substitute, taking the punishment for our sins), we gain eternal life, Jesus’ perfect righteousness, and many other unimaginably wonderful gifts. We have the right to talk directly to God the Father in prayer, including confessing our sins to Him so we can live by the power of God the Holy Spirit and continue growing in our understanding of His plan for us. The ultimate of God's grace came when God the Father sent His only Son Jesus Christ to provide salvation for everyone. Imagine all that God will do for us now that we have believed in His Son and are His children forever!

Isaiah 53:5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.

Acts 16:31b Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved.

I John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

I John 2:2 He Himself [Jesus Christ] is the propitiation [the act that satisfied God the Father] for our sins; and not for ours [believers] only, but also for those of the whole world.

Colossians 3:1 If ye, then, be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sits on the right hand of God.

John 11:25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies.”
